Congratulations to our amazing cross country team on a fantastic day of racing! On Monday 29th April, our students showed incredible grit, determination and sportsmanship as they tackled a challenging course with courage and perseverance.
In the 9/10 age group, well done to Harry Duncan, Charlie Clarke, Jacob Geary, Jackson Stanistreet, Logan Suter, Elise Janw, Evie Howe, Vivienne Crozier, Violet Cauchi and Hannah Rochstad-Lim. You represented our school with pride and gave it your all from start to finish.
Our 11-year-old runners also put in a terrific effort. A big congratulations to Mack Prince, Harry McMahon, Isaiah Baxter, Louis Flowers, Rylee Martin, Amber Walker and Gracie Pryce for their strong performances and positive attitude throughout the day.
In the 12/13 age group, we were proud to cheer on Xander Szkwarek, Levi Stanistreet, Charlie Mortimer, Riley Collins, Nate Bishoff and Harry Blomquist. Our 12/13 girls—Sammi Illing, Georgie Harper, Kenzy Duddington, Mia Hurley and Poppy Howe—were recognised for their determined effort on the track.
We’re also thrilled to share that many of our athletes qualified for the Division level, and we look forward to seeing those who are able to represent our school once again with pride.
Thank you to everyone who competed and supported the team. Whether you sprinted across the line or powered through to the end, you’ve made our school proud!

On Wednesday 1st May, five talented students proudly represented St Michael’s at the Regional Swimming Championships, showcasing their dedication, skill and determination in the pool.
Hannah Rochstad-Lim, who placed 7th in her race, and Hayden Rawson, who placed 2nd, both competed in individual events, giving their all and making our school proud with strong performances against tough competition.
The excitement continued with the relay team made up of Xander Szkwarek, Poppy Howe, Riley O’Mara and Hayden Rawson, who swam their hearts out to finish 3rd in the state! What an incredible achievement to not only reach the State Championships, but to bring home a medal as well.
Congratulations to all five students on your hard work and outstanding results!
