Mk 1: 40 - 45

Jesus never judged people by their appearance or paid attention to what they looked like. There are many times in the Bible when Jesus made the tax collectors and the outcast feel welcome and loved. In this gospel we hear about how Jesus changed the life of a leper who asked for his help by healing him. Following Jesus means that we are to be accepting and caring of others. Consider these questions: How critical am I of other people? Do I think of other people before myself? Am I always trying to please others and neglecting my own needs?

Each one of us have areas in our life that we need help with or we can improve on. Do you find yourself asking for help or do you try to “go it alone”? Remember that we can ask our Heavenly Father for strength and guidance to overcome the challenges in our lives.
