Education in Faith
In today’s Gospel we hear the story of the Good Shepherd and we are reminded of Jesus’ love for us. Just like a shepherd, who watches over his flock, we are never alone. Jesus is always with us, especially when we feel weak or afraid. The shepherd will lay down his life to protect his sheep - just as Jesus did for us. The sheep are attended to by the shepherd - we have Jesus the Good Shepherd, who will help us, guide us, love us. Our prayers may not always be answered the way we’d like them to be, but Jesus will help us. It is only through Jesus that we can really be happy and at peace. Encourage your children to turn to Jesus with their fears and concerns. As they grow older, and their problems are bigger, they will know that they can always turn to Jesus as a friend and guide.
