Dear Parents, Guardians and Carers,

Welcome back to Term 3. The buzz of the school with children arriving this morning and greeting each other was a lovely way to start the day. We hope that you all had an enjoyable school holiday break.

We have a lovely resource at the school ‘Our Mob, God’s story’ in which Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists share their faith. As last week was NAIDOC week I have chosen a favourite picture from the artist Margaret (Margy) Adams to include which tells the story from Luke’s gospel which sums up a part of the essence of Catholic Education . 

“But Jesus called the children to Him and said,  Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these” Lk 18:16

In this depiction Margy illustrates a gathering of women and children around the central figure of Jesus, showing how people were drawn to Him and how He loved children.

We had confirmation during the holidays that the Blessing and Opening of the Foundation building will be occurring this term. It will be lovely to see this completed after being delayed last year due to COVID.
