Dear Parents, Guardians and Carers,

As a Diocese there is a commitment to investing in high quality leadership and providing opportunities to enable those who aspire to Principalship to experience this significant leadership role in schools.

As an outcome of this commitment to support aspirant principals within the Diocese, I wish  to announce that following a rigorous identification and selection process, Ms Lia Di Corleto will assume the Acting Principal at St Mary’s Primary School, Maffra at the start of term 2 for an initial  four week period. Lia will undertake this role while current Principal, Mr Jason Slattery undertakes six weeks long service leave over two different stages this year.

We congratulate Lia for taking on this important role at St Mary’s and for her commitment to leadership within the Diocese of Sale and look forward to welcoming her back to St Michael’s as Deputy Principal at the end of the appointment.

The process for determining who will take over the role of Deputy Principal in Lia’s absence is underway and will be notified to the school community before the end of this term.

Easter Raffle

Thank you to all for your support of the Easter raffle with donations and buying of tickets. The baskets will be made up on Tuesday with the raffle being drawn on Wednesday morning. 

Sacrament of Reconciliation

Congratulations to all the children, families and the parish Sacramental team for all the work and enthusiasm in preparing the children to receive this wonderful Sacrament. Their celebrations will occur over Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week. Please keep them all in your prayers.

It is the call to forget my needs and to spend time serving others.
