Gippsland Region Athletics Carnival
Last Wednesday 12th October, 21 St Michael's students competed in the Gippsland Region Athletics Carnival held at the Joe Carmody Athletics Track in Newborough. In what was a fantastic day, with beautiful weather, our students gave their best competing against schools right across Gippsland in a range of track and field events. Well done to all students for their hard work and positive representation of St Michael's. A big congratulations to 5 students who made it to the SSV State Athletics Championships which are being held in Melbourne (Albert Park) on Wednesday 2nd November:
Sibella Macpherson - 2nd place 1500m (Time: 6:04.34)
Kumen Konyi - 2nd place 80m Hurdles (Time: 15:46)
Ekhai Imhagwe, Archer Rowley, Hudson Smith and Kumen Konyi - 2nd place Boys 11 year old 4x100m Relay (Time: 1:00.39)
